A NEW CROSS. Circulo de la Moda de Bogota 2012

A New Cross Fall - Winter collection 2012 was inspired by Alchemy and the nature renovation. This collection is the result of a hard investigation of Alchemy processes such as the transformation fo matter and the soul purificaton. Drapped asymmetric silhouettes in dark colors make of every piece unique and vanguard. Each garment reflects multi dynamics structures  throught new techniques on dyeing fabrics processes. You can find materials such as leather, heavy knitting, and Cotton; in cold colors like black, gray, red, beige, and white. Women clothes have a very male influence, suits and straight silhouttes mixed with representative male elements such as ties and militar boots are perfect for those who want to feel powerful and strong.

JUAN. Circulo de la Moda de Bogota 2012

Inspired by the "air" and "water" Gustavo and Viviana Lozano presented their recent collection for fall-winter 2012.  Bright textures like Taffeta, silk, and velvet; where perfectly mixed with heavy knitting, cotton, and wool. Skinny silhouettes on blazers and pants once again showed the preference of these young designers by slim young men. I really liked the blazers lenght, they go perfectly with ankle pants as you can see on the pictures. I really loved the variety of colors you can find on this collection, this time Gustavo and Viviana decided to take a risk and try new colors and interesting prints on shirts and pants. Shoes were also great I will definitly buy a pair of them as soon as they be available in the store. Styling was in charge of Aysha Bilgrami a blogger friend who has also worked as a stylist for Leal Daccarett, I love the work she made here, every outfit was perfect.

SILVIA ALFONZO. Circulo de la Moda de Bogota 2012

Forces of  Nature is the name of Silvia Alfonzo's Fall - Winter Collection 2012. She was inspired by different nature reactions such as storms, drought, frost, and rain; most of them represented on different kind of hand made prints. I really admire the work this designer made with digital prints and silkscreen. The color palette was really rich, I found white, black, different kind of blue, purple, and yellow. Silhouettes tight and loose, peplum skirs and jackets, symmetric and asymmetric cuts, and art deccó prints; were the most representative elements of Silvia's collection. My favorite pieces were the asymmetric skirts and the peplum jackets, They look gorgeous and well done.
